Can you use your strength modifier with Sneak Attack?

Yes, but the weapon needs to have the Finesse property. This means you can use a Rapier, Scimitar, Short Sword, Whip, or Dagger and still use your strength modifier when making that attack.

Finesse
When making an Attack with a finesse weapon, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the Attack and Damage Rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.

Finesse allows you to use your Strength or Dexterity modifer for attack rolls.
